I was flipping through a bunch of before-and-after room makeovers on Real Simple and I realized almost every makeover included layered rugs. It's a trend I've been noticing more in interior design, but not something I'd thought of doing before. After seeing multiple examples of the layered rug technique, I'm starting to warm up to the idea. After all, its a great way to save some money - buy a cheap, plain 8x10 and layer it with a small, patterned, quality-made rug. Two different rugs can also make a space feel cozier and more eclectic.
So, what are your thoughts on layering rugs? Is it a do or a don't?
