I want an indoor herb garden

My corner apartment gets a lot of sunlight throughout the day.  I feel foolish not taking advantage of it by bringing some more plant life into my home.  My windowsill is a perfect spot for an herb garden so I've been looking for inspiration on how to showcase my horticultural attempt.  I'm really diggin' this before-and-after from The Idea Room.
