This past Saturday, I was really excited to attend the 13th Annual Chocolate Show in NYC. It's the largest show of chocolate in the U.S. and seeing as I have the ultimate sweet tooth, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see if for myself. Unfortunately, I left the show with the wind taken out of my sails. Let me explain why...
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a monstrous line of people waiting to get into the show. The line wrapped around three blocks. After waiting for over an hour, we were excited to finally get through the doors and into the show. However, the crowd of people crammed into the venue was overwhelming and anxiety-worthy. My friends and I could hardly push our way to the chocolate samples to satisfy our cocoa cravings. Even worse was how few samples there actually were. For the price of a $30 ticket, I was expecting to be wowed... or at least leave with a belly full of sweets. Sadly, neither of those things happened.
On the bright side, I managed to snap a few pictures of the event (so you can enjoy it without paying the ticket price). Check 'em:
