Beyond beautiful doily lamp

I'm in love with this pedant lamp crafted out of crochet doilies by Shannon Smith at reMade USA.  Its an incredibly pretty piece and the shadows cast by the lamp are an added beauty bonus.  I really want to attempt to make one of these but need to figure out what type of adhesive to use (not to mention the process of collecting dozens of crochet doilies...if only I knew how to crochet ::sigh::).

    Oh man that is AMAZING. Hmm I wanna try something like that too, so fascinating! Maybe a paper-mache type liquid??

    I'm thinking wallpaper paste/glue might do the trick as well - definitely need something that dries strong. Let me know if you try to make one :)

    So pretty! I immediately thought of paper mache, too. I don't know which I like better- the lamp itself or its shadow!
